Whether traveling for leisure or business, there’s no reason why your toys have to stay home. When traveling by plane, you may be inclined to leave your pleasure behind for fear of TSA rummaging through your luggage and finding your hidden treasures. However, you should keep in mind that TSA has seen it all, and they’re not on the hunt for your adult sex toys. They’re looking for something more important and threatening than your three-prong dildo. Plus, TSA has been trained to be discreet and respectful. Nonetheless, it’s beneficial to follow the guidelines below when traveling with your sex toys, avoiding any possibly embarrassing situations.
- Pack your toys in your checked-in luggage, not your carry-on. Sure, if your luggage goes missing, so do your toys. But eventually you’ll get both back. By carrying your vibrator inside your carry-on bag, you are risking other travelers seeing your toys, should TSA find it necessary to check your carry-on.
- Remove the batteries. A buzz is certain to set TSA off and motivate them to go through your luggage. Don’t risk it. In fact, pack a fresh set of batteries still in their package along with your toys. This way you can be sure that your vacation time will be fully charged.
- Place your toy inside an opaque bag. Your adult sex toy will be less obvious when going through an X-ray if hidden inside an opaque bag.
- Purchase and pack toys that don’t look like toys. A small vibrating adult sex toy shaped like a lipstick or rubber ducky will trick any prying eyes.
- Seal your lubes in plastic bags. Protect your clothes and shoes. Even if you pack brand new, never-been-opened lube, it may still leak. It’s better to be safe than sorry by using your re-sealable sandwich bags to pack your sex lubricants and oils.
